What should I do if there is activity on my account that I did not authorize?

If you see a transaction on your account that was not authorized, please visit your local branch or call our Customer Experience Center at (877) 367-5371 so we can assist you in reviewing the activity and discuss any next steps.

What should I do if I got a suspicious email, text, or phone call?

Renasant will never call, text or email and ask you to provide any card, online banking or personal information. If you believe you may have given information to a suspicious caller, please visit your local branch or call our Customer Experience Center at (877) 367-5371.

What should I do if my debit card is lost or stolen?

Renasant offers 24/7 debit card assistance by calling 1 (800) 680-1601. You can also report your card lost through the Renasant Card App.

What tools are available at Renasant to help me prevent fraud?

Account Alerts, Debit Card Alerts, and Renasant Card App are all available to help you prevent fraud. As a reminder, Renasant will never ask you to provide your online banking user ID or password via call, text or email.

I received a check in the mail. How do I know if it's a good check?

If you received a check that you were not expecting, there are a few things to consider before depositing to your account. If you have never heard of the company or had any business with them, chances are that you should not deposit the check. If in doubt, it is best to contact the company directly. If you do deposit the check, please let the teller know if you received any letters or instructions so they can best advise you on how to handle. Click here to check out some common scams.

I thought I was talking to the bank's Fraud Department on the phone and I gave out my account information. Do I have to close my account?

Renasant is committed to protecting you and your accounts. If your account number has been obtained by someone, we may have to close the account in order to protect you from any future fraud. Our highly-trained bankers will assist you through the process of opening a new account should we need to.

I received a letter from the bank saying I changed my address, but I did not. What do I need to do?

Please call our Customer Experience Center at (877) 367-5371 if you suspect that your information has been changed without your authorization.

I received a text message asking about a charge, and now my debit card will not work. What is wrong with my card?

Renasant offers 24/7 fraud monitoring, and sometimes we may send you a text message to verify activity on your card. You can call the number listed on the back of your card for more information or contact our Customer Experience Center at (877) 367-5371. Please note that Renasant will never request your PIN number or online banking information if we do reach out to verify your debit card activity.

Someone from the bank called me to ask if I wrote a check. Why am I being called if I wrote the check?

Renasant may call you to identify the validity of a check that has been presented for payment to confirm that you did write the check. This is normal and intended to protect you from any check fraud on your account. Please note that Renasant will never request your PIN number or online banking information if we do reach out to verify your debit card activity.

My wallet was stolen, what should I do?

If your wallet is stolen, you should file a police report. You can notify Renasant by calling our Customer Experience Center at (877) 367-5371 or visiting your local branch so we can close any stolen debit cards. You will also need to contact any of your credit card issuers and freeze your credit to prevent any identity theft from taking place. Next, contact the Social Security Administration and your local DMV. Our Renasant Rewards Extra account also offers Identity Theft Protection to help you navigate this process.
